         Amendment S-5725 was adopted.

         With the adoption of amendment S-5725 to amendment S-5700, the
    Chair ruled amendment S-5740 filed by Senators McLaren, Neuhauser and
    Douglas on April 12, 1996, to amendment S-5700, out of order.

         Senator McLaren offered amendment S-5748 filed by Senators McLaren,
    et al., on April 12, 1996, to amendment S-5700 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5748 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Gronstal offered amendment S-5773 filed by Senators
    Gronstal and Iverson from the floor to amendment S-5700 and moved its
    adoption.

         Amendment S-5773 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Drake offered amendment S-5742 filed by him from the floor
    to amendment S-5700 and moved its adoption.

         A record roll call was requested.

         On the question Shall amendment S-5742 to amendment S-5700 be
    adopted? (H.F. 2421) the vote was:

         Rule 23, requiring all Senators present to vote except those who
    express a conflict of interest, was invoked.
