         Senator Hansen offered amendment S-5719 filed by him on April 10,
    1996, to amendment S-5700 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5719 lost by a voice vote.

         Senator Murphy offered amendment S-5763 filed by Senators Murphy,
    et al., from the floor to amendment S-5700 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5763 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Halvorson offered amendment S-5774 filed by him from the
    floor to amendment S-5700 and moved its adoption.

         A non record roll call was requested.

         The ayes were 26, nays 24.

         Amendment S-5774 was adopted.

         Senator Halvorson withdrew amendment S-5752 filed by him on April
    12, 1996, to amendment S-5700.

         Senator Giannetto offered amendment S-5753 filed by him on April
    12, 1996, to amendment S-5700 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5753 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Jensen offered amendment S-5775 filed by him from the floor
    to amendment S-5700 and moved its adoption.

         A record roll call was requested.

         On the question Shall amendment S-5775 to amendment S-5700 be
    adopted? (H.F. 2421) the vote was:

         Rule 23, requiring all Senators present to vote except those who
    express a conflict of interest, was invoked.
