HUMAN RESOURCES
Final Bill Action: SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 117, a concurrent
resolution designating the week of April 14 through April 21, 1996, as
Days of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocuast.
Recommendation: DO PASS.
Final Vote: Ayes, 8: Szymoniak, Hammond, Boettger, Bartz, Dvorksy,
Hansen, Kramer and Vilsack. Nays, none. Absent or not voting, 2:
Neuhauser and Tinsman.
Fiscal Note: NOT REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.
PRESENTATION OF VISITORS
The Chair welcomed the following visitors who were present in the
Senate gallery:
Members of the third grade class from Indianola School, accompanied
by Ms. May and Mrs. Taylor. Senator Fink.
Thirty-one eighth grade students from Ruthven-Aryshire Middle
School, Ruthven, accompanied by Jon Josephson. Senator Kibbie.
PLACEMENT ON INDIVIDUAL CONFIRMATION CALENDAR
MR. PRESIDENT: Pursuant to Senate Rule 59, I hereby request that
the name of Rita D. Sealock to the State Racing and Gaming Commission be
removed from the En Bloc Confirmation Calendar and placed on the
Individual Confirmation Calendar.
