                             CONSIDERATION OF BILLS

    Senate File 2268

         On motion of Senator Fraise, Senate File 2268, a bill for  an act
    relating to the financial procedures of counties, cities, and drainage
    districts, by amending the powers and duties of county treasurers, by
    eliminating the filing of late claims for property tax credits, by
    striking personal property tax credits of military veterans, by striking
    outdated property tax limitations, by providing for properly related
    matters, and by providing an applicability date, with report of
    committee on Ways and Means recommending passage on March 7, 1996, was
    taken up for consideration.

         Senator Fraise offered amendment S-5170 filed by him on March 5,
    1996, to pages 7 and 10 of the bill and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5170 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Maddox asked and received unanimous consent to withdraw
    amendment S-5229 filed by Senators Maddox and Sorensen on March 6, 1996,
    to pages 7, 8 and the title page of the bill.

         Senator Maddox offered amendment S-5287 filed by Senators Maddox
    and Sorensen on March 11, 1996, to pages 7, 8, 10 and the title page of
    the bill and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5287 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Fraise offered amendment S-5143 filed by him on February
    28, 1996, to page 10 of the bill and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5143 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Fraise asked and received unanimous consent that action  on
    Senate File 2268 be deferred.

         President pro tempore Bisignano took the chair at 11:00 a.m.

         On motion of Senator Fink, Senate File 2017, a bill for an act
    increasing the fine for moving traffic violations in school zones, with
