    Final Bill Action: *SENATE FILE 2439 (formerly Senate File 379), a bill
    for an act relating to harboring a runaway, exempting a parent,
    guardian, or custodian of a juvenile who is a chronic runaway from
    financial liability for the acts of the juvenile, establishing
    penalties, and creating a delinquent act.

    Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 10: Giannetto, McKean, Bartz, Bisignano, Boettger,
    Drake, Hammond, Hansen, Maddox and Redfern. Nays, 3: Vilsack, Fraise and
    Szymoniak. Absent or not voting, 2: Halvorson and Neuhauser.

    Fiscal Note: REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.

         *Pursuant to Senate Rule 40, the Legislative Service Bureau
    reported nonsubstantive changes to the members of the Judiciary
    Committee on Senate File 2439 and they were attached to the committee
    report.
