    HUMAN RESOURCES

    Final Bill Action: *SENATE FILE 2178 (formerly Senate File 2005), a bill
    for an act relating to the auditing of contracts providing managed care
    services under the medical assistance program.

    Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 9: Szymoniak, Hammond, Boettger, Bartz, Hansen,
    Kramer, Neuhauser, Tinsman and Vilsack. Nays, none. Absent or not
    voting, 1: Dvorsky.

    Fiscal Note: NOT REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.

         *Pursuant to Senate Rule 40, the Legislative Service Bureau
    reported nonsubstantive changes to the members of the Human Resources
    Committee on Senate File 2178 and they were attached to the committee
    report.



    TRANSPORTATION

    Final Bill Action: SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 105, a resolution in
    support of maintaining the Mississippi River as a major transportation
    route for various products shipped into and out of the Upper Mississippi
    region.

    Recommendation: DO PASS.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 12: Gettings, Fraise, Drake, Black, Connolly, Dearden,
    Douglas, Fink, Halvorson, Jensen, Lind and Rittmer. Nays, none.
