    NATURAL RESOURCES, ENVIRONMENT & ENERGY

    Final Bill Action: *SENATE FILE 2046 (formerly Senate File 2011), a bill
    for an act removing the confidential status of water and ice vessel
    accident reports filed with the natural resource commission of the
    department of natural resources and providing for the Acts
    applicability.

    Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 10: Fink, Black, Lundby, Dearden, Freeman, Gronstal,
    Hedge, Judge, Kibbie and Sorensen. Nays, none. Absent or not voting, 5:
    Banks, Borlaug, Deluhery, Priebe and Rensink.

    Fiscal Note: NOT REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.

         *Pursuant to Senate Rule 40, the Legislative Service Bureau
    reported nonsubstantive changes to the members of the Natural Resources,
    Environment and Energy Committee on Senate File 2046 and they were
    attached to the committee report.



                              INTRODUCTION OF BILLS

         Senate File 2045, by Lind, a bill for an act relating to the family
    investment program special needs provisions by prohibiting payment of
    charges for drivers education.

         Read first time under rule 28 and passed on file.

         Senate File 2046, by committee on Natural Resources, Environment
    and Energy, a bill for an act relating to water and ice vessel accident
    reports filed with the natural resource commission of the department of
    natural resources and providing for the Acts applicability.

         Read first time under rule 28 and placed on calendar.



                                   ADJOURNMENT

         On motion of Senator Horn, the Sente adjourned at 9:20 a.m., until
