         The Senate met in regular session at 9:02 a.m., Senator Judge
    presiding.

         Prayer was offered by the Honorable Albert G. Sorensen, member of
    the Senate from Boone County, Boone, Iowa.

         The Journal of Thursday, January 11, 1996, was approved.



                              INTRODUCTION OF BILLS

         Senate File 2047, by Lundby, a bill for  an act relating to
    declaration of political party affiliation on voter registration forms.

         Read first time and passed on file.

         Senate File 2048, by Lundby, a bill for  an act relating to private
    investigative agency and security agent licensing qualifications.

         Read first time and passed on file.
