House File 2405, by committee on commerce- regulation, a bill for an act relating to entities and subject matter under the regulatory authority of the securities bureau of the division of insurance. House File 2406, by Eddie, a bill for an act relating to the treatment of interest paid on money borrowed for investment purposes and providing effective and applicability date provisions. Read first time and referred to committee on ways and means. House File 2407, by committee on state government, a bill for an act relating to legal publications and related products prepared and distributed under the authority of the general assembly. Read first time and placed on the calendar. MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE The following messages were received from the Senate: Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the Senate has on February 28, 1996, passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the House is asked: Senate File 2062, a bill for an act relating to statutory corrections which may adjust language to reflect current practices, insert earlier omissions, delete redundancies and inaccuracies, delete temporary language, resolve inconsistencies and conflicts, update ongoing provisions, or remove ambiguities, and providing effective and retroactive applicability dates. Also: That the Senate has on February 28, 1996, passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the House is asked: Senate File 2157, a bill for an act relating to the duties of the college student aid commission in administering the Iowa guaranteed loan program, creating a chiropractic loan revolving fund, and providing for matters related to the chiropractic graduate student forgivable loan program. Also: That the Senate has on February 28, 1996, passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the House is asked: Senate File 2162, a bill for an act relating to the postdelivery benefits and care requirements for mothers and newborns Also: That the Senate has on February 28, 1996, adopted the following resolution in which the concurrence of the House is asked: Senate Concurrent Resolution 108, a concurrent resolution posthumously honoring Mr. John L.
