         The motion prevailed and the appointment of Harold M. Thompson as
    Executive Director of the Iowa Telecommunications and Technology
    Commission was taken up for reconsideration.

         Senator Dvorsky asked and received unanimous consent that action on
    the confirmation of Harold M. Thompson be deferred.



                          MOTION TO RECONSIDER ADOPTED

         Senator Murphy filed the following motion to reconsider from the
    floor and moved its adoption.

         MR. PRESIDENT: I move to reconsider the vote by which the
    confirmation of David J. Fisher failed to be approved by the Senate on
    April 13, 1995.

         A record roll call was requested.

         On the question Shall the motion to reconsider be adopted?  the
