Senate File 379, by Lundby, a bill for an act relating to harboring a runaway, exempting a parent, guardian, or custodian of a juvenile who is a chronic runaway from financial liability for the acts of the juvenile, establishing penalties, and creating a delinquent act. Read first time and passed on file. Senate File 380, by Lundby and Judge, a bill for an act concerning employment discrimination on the basis of political activity and providing a penalty. Senate File 381, by Lundby, Iverson, and Bisignano, a bill for an act to permit the receipt of food, beverages, registration, or scheduled entertainment by legislators and legislative employees at group events to which all legislators are invited. SPECIAL GUESTS Senator Kibbie introduced Tracy Nelson from Emmetsburg, Miss Shamrock of 1995. She was accompanied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Nelson and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Nelson. Tracy addressed the Senate with brief remarks. Senator Kibbie introduced the Honorable Ned OKeefe, T.D., a member of the Fianna Fail Party who has served as a spokesman for industry for five years. He has served in the Dail since 1982, and is currently serving in the Senate. Mr. OKeefe is associated with many agricultural related programs and is a member of the Gaelic Athletic Association. He was accompanied by his wife, Ann.
