Born on February 13, 1788 in Worcester County, Massachusetts and died on June 1, 1870 in Cottonville, Jackson County, Iowa. He served in the War of 1812. Mr. Wasson married Anna Bemus March 24, 1818 in Buffalo, New York. She was born November 10, 1799 in Saratoga County, New York. They had six children; Samuel C. (1821), Albert T. (1823), Mary Ann (1828), Elizabeth (1830), Adelia (1832), and Sarah Jane (1834). He moved to Iowa in 1850 and was a farmer. He served in the 4th General Assembly.
