Drake University graduate, bachelor's degree in journalism and master’s degree in education. Pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Iowa State University. Master’s in Leadership from Drake focused on urban revitalization. Ph.D. dissertation focuses on upward mobility within depressed urban areas. Graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program.
