Awarded for outstanding leadership for accessible and affordable medical care in Iowa by the Iowa Physician Assistants Society in 2011. Received Red Cross Hero of the Heartland Award.

Born in 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. Raised in Elkhart, Indiana, and Carol Stream, Illinois. Resides in Slater.
