Past positions include president of the Iowa Corn Growers Association, director of Western Iowa Energy, director of Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy, and various committee assignments on the National Corn Growers Association and U.S. Grains Council.

Born in 1957 in Council Bluffs. Raised in Council Bluffs and resides in Glenwood.
