Also serves on the Iowa Department of Aging Commission. Member of the Carter Lake Optimist, Lions, and Improvement clubs. Also member of Council Bluffs West End Optimist Club. Previously served on the Board of Directors of the Union Pacific Railroad Museum and OPPD Federal Credit Union. Former long-time member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1483. Served five years on the Council Bluffs Community School District Board of Education.
