Served six years on the IPERS Board. Past president of Iowa State County Treasurers Association. Served as first vice president of the National Association of County Treasurers, Collectors and Finance Officers. Awarded the Victor E. Martinelli Award as National Treasurer of the Year in 2004.

Born in 1959 in St. Charles and raised in Madison County. Resides in Osceola.
