Past member of Polk County Housing Trust Fund and Polk County 4-H and FFA Board. Selected Iowa Firemen’s Association Legislator of the Year 2000, Associated General Contractors of Iowa Legislator of the Year 2001, The Business Record’s Forty Under 40 Award recipient 2003, 2004 Athena Award nominee, and Farm Bureau Friend of Agriculture 2000, 2002, and 2004.
