Member of Methodist Church, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, Iowa Cattlemen's Association, Farm Bureau, and 4-H leader. Served eight years on Lucas County Board of Supervisors (1987-94) and Lucas County Soil Commission. Wife Cheryl; three sons and two daughters. Serving fifth term in House.
