Received A.A. from Iowa Lakes Community College, B.S. in speech communication education from the University of South Dakota, and M.S. in English from Mankato State University. Member of Knights of Columbus, Okoboji Little League, Western Iowa National Forensic League Executive Committee, IHSSA State Debate Committee, and ISENOEA Phase III Committee. Wife Laura; two sons. Serving third term in House.
