Received B.A. from Graceland College and M.S.W. from the University of Iowa. Former member of the Osceola City Council. Vice president of the Morning Optimist Club and treasurer of the Friends of Marshalltown Public Library. Member of the Marshall County Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Committee and advisor to the Marshalltown Cancer Support Group. Elder at Central Christian Church. Wife Karen Lischer; one daughter and two foster sons. Serving second term in House.
