Member of Maquoketa Rotary Club, Sacred Heart Church Finance Committee, Knights of Columbus, Pharmacy Freedom Fund, and Community Pharmacy Foundation Board of Directors. Member and past president of the American Pharmaceutical Association and Iowa Pharmacy Association. Served in the U.S. Army, 1952-54. Wife Ann; four sons, six daughters, and 24 grandchildren. Serving fifth term in House.
