Children: 2 daughters: Lisa and Jill; 1 son, Eric (deceased). Activities: Farmer, grain and livestock operation. Past vice president, Muscatine County Farm Bureau and Muscatine County Pork Producers. Served on White Pigeon Mutual Insurance board, and S/M Service Company board. Past treasurer and board member, Ziegler Memorial Lutheran Church. Won special election, December, 1985. Term: Third.
