Served in the 34th Army National Guard Band, 1966-72. Married Karen Rich, 1972. Twin daughters, Kimberly and Amy, born in 1975. High school social studies teacher at Midland High School, 1971-74, and Danville High School, 1974-85. Political Science instructor at Iowa Wesleyan College 1983. Author, State Government in Iowa, published by the Institute of Public Affairs, 1974, 1977, 1982. Member of United Teaching Profession, Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleasant Lions Club. Second term.
