Children: son, Eric (deceased); daughters, Lisa and Jill. Farmer, grain and livestock operation. Past vice president, Muscatine County Farm Bureau and Muscatine County Pork Producers. Served on White Pigeon Mutual Insurance board; S/M Service Company board. Past treasurer and board member, Ziegler Memorial Lutheran Church. Won special election, December 1985, re-elected 1986. Second term.
