Charter member, Worth County Extension Council; past president, Kensett Lions Club; former chairman, Worth County Democrats. Member, Elk Creek Lutheran Church. Father was a member of the Iowa House during 1940s. Majority leader, 70th and 71st General Assemblies. Seventh term.
