Student body president, William Penn College; college intern, United States Department of State; teacher, Eldora Training School and Iowa City West High School; labor relations manager, Polk County, Iowa, 1977-1982. Member: Iowa State Bar Association, Polk County Bar Association, Common Cause, William Penn College Alumni Association, board of advisors; University of Iowa Alumni Association, Greater Des Moines YMCA, Religious Society of Friends (Quaker).
