Part-time tax consultant, 1962-72. Married Donna Kingland, 1951. Three sons, one daughter and two grandsons. Charter member, Worth County Extension Council; past president, Kensett Lions Club; former chairman, Worth County Democrats. Member, Elks Creek Lutheran Church. Father was a member of the Iowa House during 1940s. Majority leader, 70th General Assembly. Sixth term.
