Insurance agent. Married Luella Hensch (deceased) June 14, 1927. Father of Mrs. William Saupe; son Merlyn, married, farm partner with father in 560-acre Floydcrest Farms. Married September 15, 1957, to Mrs. Margaret Gourley. Step-children are Peggy Stagliano, and John D. Gourley. Eleven grandchildren, Member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, Farm Bureau, Farmers Mutual Insurance Assn., O'Brien County, Kiwanis Club, U.C.T., Chamber of Commerce, Floyd Valley Watershed Association, secretary and board of director of Sheldon Hospital, past president of American Milking Shorthorn Association and Tamworth Swine Association, charter member of Northwest Iowa Farm Business Association. Sergeant in Iowa State Guard. Four years service. Second term.
