Served as treasurer Soil Conservation Service of Cerro Gordo County and was on Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service Commission. Director of Cerro Gordo Taxpayer's Association. Director of Thornton Co-operative Elevator. Former chairman Board of Trustees of United Methodist Church of Meservey and past president of Meservey-Thornton School Board. First term.
