Father of two children, Nancy, a senior in Northwest Missouri State Teachers College, and Stewart, ninth grade student in the Lamoni community school. Owns and operates a 240-acre farm in Bloomington township, Decatur County. Has served on Agricultural Adjustment Administration and Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation committee work. Has served on local school board and was chairman of rural county heart fund. Member of the First Baptist Church at Mt. Ayr, Iowa. Serving third term.
