Osceola County Democrat. Born at Ashton, Iowa, Feb. 18, 1890. Attended school at Ashton and at Mankato, Minn. Employed by the C, St. P., M. & O. Railroad in 1913, at Mankato, leaving this position in 1914 to enter the employ of the Sibley State Bank, Sibley, Iowa, as bookkeeper. In 1919, purchased an interest in the Ashton State Bank and served as cashier until 1956 and is now president. Served with the air forces, A.E.F. during World War I. Father of three daughters: Mary Clare, Eileen Margaret, and Dorothy Jean. Serving tenth term.
