He was born at Sheffield, 1899, obtained his B.A. degree at Iowa State Teachers College; took graduate work at Columbia University and University of Iowa. Married Louise Storie, Chariton, Iowa. Has one married daughter, Beverly, who teaches school in Cedar Falls. He is an Episcopalian. Belongs to Elks, Kiwanis, Moose, American Legion, Toastmasters Club and Farm Bureau. Served on the Charles City Council; was an adjustor for the Iowa Farm Mutual; coach and superintendent at Hansell for 11 years. This is his second term in the House.
