Garner Hancock County Republican. Born June 30, 1904 in Linden, Dallas County, Iowa. Graduate of Stanley, Iowa Consolidated Schools. Attended Iowa State Teachers College and Iowa State University. Taught home economics, history and government for eight and a half years. Married Edwin F. Bock, June 10, 1931. Parents of two daughters: Mary Margaret (Mrs. Frederic Buchnell, Jr.), Rockford, Ill., and Virginia Mae (Mrs. Robert A. Lemire), Boston, Mass. Member of First Methodist Church, O.E.S., Historical Society of Iowa, delegate-at- large Iowa Council for Community Improvement, delegate Garner Town and Country Planning Council, Garner Recital Club, Secretary Hancock County Conservation Board, member of the board, Garner Chapter of Red Cross. Is a partner in Bock Oil and Transport Company. Serving first term.
