Cresco Howard County Republican Born January 16, 1908, In Howard county, Iowa. Attended rural schools in Howard county and Cresco high school. Married Adeline Niewald of Cresco in 1933. Has one daughter, Geraldine (Mrs. Robert Bockoven of Chicago, Illinois); two sons, First Lieutenant Eugene, stationed at Williams Bay, Wisconsin, and Dale, who attends Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, Iowa. Owns 120 acre farm and rents an additional 100 acre farm near Cresco, Iowa. A member of Immanuel Lutheran church and a past president of its board of trustees. Member of Cresco Wildlife Club, past vice president and treasurer of Howard County Farm Bureau, chairman of New Oregon Cemetery Association, director of Howard County Experimental Farm, past school director, treasurer of Howard County Soil Conservation District, past chairman of Howard County ASC committee, director of C. & H. Co-Op. Serving first term.
