Rockwell City Calhoun County Republican Born at Paton, Greene county, Iowa, April 26, 1890. Son of David William and Flora Wilson. Educated in the schools of Greene county. Married January 28, 1913, to Mary E. White. Father of six children: Mildred (Mrs. Dwight Goodner), Walter who gave his life in World War II, Richard, Mabel (Mrs. Charles Flint), Marion (Mrs. Don Jorgenson) and Marjorie. Engaged in farming until 1928 in Greene county. Moved to Lake City, Iowa, in 1928 and engaged in the rendering business until 1943. Served on the Lake City town council for several years and gave much time to Boy Scout work. A member of Kiwanis, was lieutenant governor of Kiwanis division three of Nebraska-Iowa district in 1944. Moved to Twin Lakes, Rockwell City in 1950. Served in the House of Representatives in the 48th, 49th, 50th and 50th Extra sessions; also the 55th, 56th, and 57th sessions. Serving sixth term.
