Past president Linn county Farm Bureau, voting delegate and past member of Iowa Farm Bureau resolution committee, member Iowa Republican Farm Council. Member Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce. Young Republicans and former 4-H leader. A 32nd degree Mason, and member El Kahir Shrine, rural chairman Linn county Red Cross drive. Member of the First Congregational church of Cedar Rapids. Operating a 385-acre livestock farm. Married, has two sons, Maury and Craig. Serving third term.
