Lucas Lucas County Republican Born on a farm near Lucas, Iowa, January 23, 1897, the oldest son of Frank L. and Kate Pim. Attended rural schools, Lucas high school, graduate Iowa State college 1920, degree in animal husbandry. Served in the First World War as a second lieutenant. Married to Carolyn Deyo of Port Edwards, Wisconsin, in 1926. Have two children, Mrs. Ruth Van Echaute of Moline, Illinois, and Robert R. Pim of Lucas. Served as vice president and president of the Lucas county Farm Bureau, helped organize Lucas county Co-operative Creamery and served as president 1946-52. A director of the Iowa Association of Local Creameries. President of local school board, past president of Chariton Flying club. Member of Methodist church, Masons, Shrine, Rotary club, American Legion. Farms in Lucas county and raises registered Hereford cattle. Now serving second term.
