Osceola Clarke County Republican Born in Franklin county, April 14, 1892, on a farm near Iowa Falls, Iowa. Second of eight children of Peter and Barbara Klein. Moved to Emmet county with parents in 1893, and remained there on a farm. Married Esther Eastman in 1920. Moved to Clarke county with wife and daughter, Doris, in 1938. He is an elder of the Christian church at Osceola, president of Lions club at New Virginia, past director of the Farm Bureau, was president for 121/2 years of the local R.E.A. cooperative, also director of the Southwestern Federated Power cooperative at Creston for 10 years. Serving first term.
