Waukon Allamakee County Republican Born December 24, 1886. Graduate of Waukon, Iowa, high school, 1907. Graduated from Iowa university, with a degree of B. A., in 1911, and from the College of Law in 1915. Was superintendent of schools at Lineville, Iowa, from 1911-1913. Admitted to practice of law in 1915, and that same year opened a general practice at Waukon. During World War I was at Camp Dodge for thirteen months. Was Allamakee county attorney eight years. Married Dorothy Dravis and is the father of three sons: Robert, 21, served with the U. S. Marine Corps in the Pacific; Roger, 19, stationed with the Army in Korea; and Richard, 15. Serving fourth term.
