Grant Montgomery County Republican. Born April 22, 1877, Douglas township, Montgomery county, where he has always resided, son of Leander D. and Etta M. Stinemates. He was educated in the rural schools of Montgomery county. Married March 7, 1900, to Edith Conrad. Father of two children, Harold and Velma, and has two grandchildren, Carolyn Sue Stinemates and Leo Spiker. Owns a farm which he operated until he was elected to the county board of supervisors in 1931. His farm is now being operated by his son. Served as township trustee for twelve years, county supervisor for nine years, and on the Grant Independent school board for 21 years. Member Methodist church and Masonic lodge. Serving second term.
