Graduated from Iowa State Teachers College and the University of Iowa. Has been superintendent of schools at Fredericksburg and Eddyville, Iowa. Married to Mary Mitze December 30, 1913. Publishes the Eddyville Tribune, Eddyville, Iowa. Active in community affairs. Member of Congregational church, Masonic lodge, and Lions Club. Served on County Republican Central Committee. Serving first term in legislature.
