Waukon Allamakee County Republican. Born December 24, 1886. Graduate of Waukon, Iowa, high school, 1907. Graduated from Iowa State University, with a degree of B.A., in 1911, and from the College of Law, S.U.I., in 1915. Was superintendent of schools at Lineville two years. Admitted to practice of law in 1915, and that same year opened a general practice at Waukon. During the World War, was at Camp Dodge for thirteen months. Was Allamakee county attorney eight years. Married and father of three sons: Robert, 13; Roger, 10; and Richard, 6. Serving first term in legislature.
