Representative from Taylor county, was born near Union, Hardin county, Iowa, in 1891 and spent his boyhood near Zearing, Story county, and graduated from high school there in 1910. Graduate of Drake university 1914, with postgraduate work in agriculture and education at Ames and Iowa City. Seven years in educational work, nine years as farmer and four years as county treasurer. Has been a member of and participated as an officer in professional groups, and is at present chairman of the board of Christian church of Bedford. Married in 1916 to Delia Keith at Bedford, Iowa, to which union two children were born, Mary Lois and Josephine. Serving first session in the legislature. A republican.
