Homesteaded in Montana, 1913-1917, also spent one year in Kossuth county, 1920- 1921, returning that spring to Pocahontas county, near Rolfe, and has remained on same section since. Entered World war, November 2, 1917, served overseas with first division. Was wounded in May, 1918. Was awarded division citation, general order No. 1, and is recipient of Purple Heart by order of A.G. No. 201. He is married and has three children. Occupation, farming. Serving first term in legislature. A republican.
