Representative from Chickasaw County, was born October 19, 1875, at New Hampton, Chickasaw County, Iowa, and has lived there continuously. He was educated in the public schools, State Teachers College and Wormley Business College of New Hampton, Iowa. He is the owner of a large dairy farm which he operated himself for a greater part of his life and which he now rents on shares. He was a member of the local board of education, secretary of the New Hampton Farmers Creamery; belongs to the Methodist Episcopal Church, Masonic lodge, Odd Fellow lodge, and M. W. A. Democrat in politics.
