Representative from Harrison county, was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa. He attended the public schools, was graduated from the Missouri Valley high school, from the college of liberal arts, the State University of Iowa, in 1922, with the degree of Bachelor of Arts, and from the college of law of the same institution in 1924, with the degree of Juris Doctor. Was admitted to the practice of law in 1924 and is now engaged in that profession with his father, Frank Tamisiea, at Missouri Valley. He is unmarried. He has served two terms as city attorney, is a director of the Nebraska-Iowa bridge corporation, the present district trustee and past lieutenant-governor of the Nebraska-Iowa district of Kiwanis International, present Master of Valley Lodge No. 232, A.F. & A.M., at Missouri Valley. Was federal supervisor of the 1930 census for a part of the ninth congressional district, and was in charge of such work in the counties of Harrison, Pottawattamie, Cass, Shelby, Adair, Guthrie, and Audubon. Member of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity; the American Legion, of which he is a past adjutant and trustee; the Iowa state and American bar associations and the Iowa farm bureau Federation. Republican in politics. Elected representative in 1930.
