Representative from Clayton county. Born in Postville, Iowa, April 26, 1885. Moved with his parents when six years old, to Monona, Clayton county, Iowa, where he has since resided. Received his education in the public schools. Has been engaged in farming and is now in the mercantile business. Has served as township clerk and mayor. Was married June 9, 1909, to Jean McClelland, of Monona. They have one son, Thomas M., born September, 1918. Member of I.O.O.F and Masonic orders including Shrine. Elected in 1928 and 1930. In politics a republican.
