Representative from Audubon county, Iowa, was born of Danish parentage on a farm in Carroll county, July 16, 1885. He acquired his education in the common schools of the county and later attended Elk Horn college. When not attending school, he helped his father with the work on the farm. At the age of twenty he rented part of his father's farm for four years until he acquired a farm of his own. In 1916 he moved with his family to Audubon, where he engaged in the banking business until the spring of 1927, when he resigned his position as assistant cashier of the First National bank. He was married January 26, 1910, to Edna Anderson, of Audubon, and has a family of two girls. Elected representative in 1930. A republican in politics.
