Representative from Osceola county, Iowa. Was born at Onawa, Iowa, on January 26, 1894. Parents moved to Sibley, Osceola county, Iowa, in 1895. Attended public school at Sibley, graduating in 1912; attended Cedar Rapids Business College. Enlisted in World war; discharged in January, 1919. Served one year as deputy county auditor of Osceola county. Married in June, 1921. Owner of Osceola County Abstract Company. Member of Masonic order, Sibley Rotary club, American Legion, president, Iowa fair managers association and secretary of the Osceola county fair.
